Starkville, Mississippi Gino,
I installed the GT623 saddles over the weekend. Once I set intonation
and string height my American Telecaster Deluxe became an entirely different
instrument. She sings :). With the SCN neck pickup only the sound and
string balance is sweet with almost a piano like quality. With both pickups
turned on the guitar comes alive, I am able to go from pure telecaster
to chimey ring tones just by varying pick position. It is in the lead
(bridge) position that the guitar is a sonic monster. You want harmonics,
they are everywhere. You want Yakety Axe lead tones you got them. You
want to break things with high octave antics go for it. This guitar did
not get much playing out time, it was just too mellow and non responsive
for live performances at least to my ears compared to my other telecasters.
Not any more. Sustain, tone, string balance, she has it all now. The
saddles woke her up, gave her attitude, and made me a very satisfied
customer. Thanks for a wonderful product.

Hi Gino,
So far , so good...took the pic's before installing the E,A saddle, so
friends could see that they retrofit the modern 6 saddle bridge.
This is a Fender Tele Jr. I've put them on and so far I've noticed a
mellower tone and less saddle buzz.
The intonation is bang on !
Do you make steel saddles , like the old mid 50's used ? I have a pine
body I built with Callaham compensated brass saddles but I think it could
stand to be a bit brighter in tone.
Keep up the good work,
Barry has sent us some " allmost done
" installation pics. Although it seems like he has no intentions of stopping,
there are a good number of clients that have decided to keep this configuration.
It is true that the path to "Great Tone" has many roads.
Thanks Barry. Have a look at some of his pics HERE

Towson, Maryland Gino, The 623’s arrived Friday in an ice storm. I got right to work
on them. I have an early model G&L ASAT Classic which I got used.
The six piece steel saddles were always a little annoying, particularly
on the bridge pickup where I had to always roll a little off the tone
to prevent the neighborhood dogs from howling. Definitely nail-on-chalkboard.
It took me no time at all to get your saddles installed. First, let’s
talk intonation. I go back 45 years when I would intonate my father’s
gigantic wooden bridged archtops. Yours were a breeze. After placing
the E/A in the right spot, I just eyed the others into place and checked
them out. Perfect both according to my ear and to an electronic tuner
where the needle was dead centered on the harmonic and the 12th for each
string.
Now for the SOUND. I was really expecting the main effect to be experienced
on my shrill bridge pu. Sure enough, it did clean up nicely. No ear-splitting
and it attained that nice nasally tight Tele plunk when hovering over
the pu. It’s hard to describe what was tonally added but nothing
surprised me more than the resonant beefiness that the neck pickup obtained.
It sounds nothing like its former self and the different tones between
the two pu actually make for a great middle switch setting which has
a character all its own. I restrung the guitar with pure nickel 9’s
and it really sings. With my 5E3 clone, I was able to get the classic
country fuzz (think Green Acres) and some “chicken-pickin”.
I have got to thank you for the great customer service you provided.
Through two postal holidays (one there and one here) and a local ice-storm
the saddles made it right when I had some leisure time. I think you have
a great product going and wish you great success with it. I have also
learned a little more about tonality on the guitar. Now, I’ll be
keeping my eyes open for a diamond in the rough tele to improve. But
doesn’t everyone do that?
Thanks
Ed
Happy customer, detailed review, It doesn't get much better then this.
Thanks Ed

Libertyville, Illinois Hello Gino,
thanks for the fast shipping on the saddles! They installed easily,
and since I marked the bridgeplate with the old saddle's approximate
positions, intonation took no time at all. The hardest part was
figuring out which length screws to use in which position, but no big
deal, and I imagine it varies from guitar to guitar. I don't have a
strobe tuner, but the intonation is as good as my six saddle guitars;
I have 10-46 strings on it.
As a hobbyist and part time church player, I spend too much time
fussing with my (too) many guitars; dozens of pickup swaps, etc. I
have to say I'm floored by what a difference these saddles made to my
tele- I can't think of any negative change these things have made to
the guitar. All the adjectives used in your other testimonials apply-
smoother, rounder- you name it, it's got it! I really didn't expect
anywhere near this much difference! These saddles should be the first
thing anyone changes on their American tele, long before they
consider a pickup swap. I feel like I have the best of both worlds
now- the ease of the modern neck (which I definitely prefer over the
vintage necks) and the tone I was looking for!
So, thanks again for making a wonderful, affordable product! If I
pick up another tele, I'll be ordering a set of these and installing
them with it's first set of strings! I may have to try a set on a
strat in the meantime :-)
Regards,
Kevin Thanks for taking the time and the great review. Its appreciated Kevin.

Melbourne, Australia Hi Gino;
One word:
BRILLIANT!!!
The saddles did exactly what I'd hoped they would: removed the "ice
pick"
highs from the treble strings and balanced out all the other strings.
The tone is gorgeous.
... and I think they look great!
A great product that does what it is supposed to and service second
to none!
Thanks again for all your help.

Pickering, Ontario Hi Gino,
Just to let you know I installed the GT623 saddles on my Telecaster.
I am very pleased with the quality of the parts and the results.
The saddles have added a mellower tone and increased sustain. They also
look great, closer to the original 50's era Tele.
Just what I was looking for.
Gary. Thanks for the review Gary. Have a look at his pics here.

Cedar Falls, Iowa FYI, I did finally get the 623's installed on
one of my Telecasters.
I took some pictures and enclosed are three of them.
The brass saddles make the tone much better (like I knew they would)!
The tone is smoother and rounder and has more sustain.
I'm glad I found you via the Net and was able to get these saddles from
you.
They're excellent!
Thanks again.
Later,
Galen Galen has a flock of guitars (24 to be exact) and we are glad that at least
one of them
is sporting a new look and "tone". More pics here

The saddles brought new life into the Tele. More depth and sparkle.

Just wanted to drop you guys a line and say thanks for
the great saddles.
I bought my 72 Tele Custom RI just over a year ago. It came with steel,
non compensated saddles, so intonation was always a bit of an issue I
lived with. Plus I always heard that brass saddles had a nicer sound.
Sherwood Music turned me onto you guys when I was in there for Fender
days. I finally got around to putting the order and and in two days,
they had arrived and I was off to the races. I needed to change strings
too, so the timing was great.
I've included some pictures for fun. The saddles look great, the guitar
is perfectly intonated now and it sounds awesome through my new VOX AD50VT
amp (if I do say so myself).
Cheers!

Hi Gino
Saddles arrived, installed and photographed!
The change in sound is what I’d hoped for and the guitar is now
much more responsive and “alive”. More edge and presence.
Zing. Attack. Tone. Sustain. Dammit – what’s the word I’m
looking for??
The Kinman Broadcaster pickups were the first step towards my ideal Telecaster,
the saddles are definitely the final touch in my search for the perfect
guitar! One last point – your saddles made a more important difference
in the way my guitars sound than the timber. I tried all the combinations.
I found that the tonal difference between Alder and Ash bodies was less
significant than the difference between the sound of the US saddles and
the GT623s. I think that would border on the heretical to some people,
but I stand by it! Thanks
Brian has a great flair for words and he also takes great pictures. Have
a look here.

V. Lufkin , Texas Thank
you for designing the six-two-three. I have an American Standard
Telecaster and an old style bridge won't work on this guitar. A
factory Fender American Standard neck has the fret ends excessively
beveled and unless the neck has been re-fretted, the strings will
be right on the edge of the fret ends with a vintage spaced bridge.
- you should add this fact to your literature in regards to these
saddles as most people try to use the old bridge, drill new holes
in their guitars, and become very angry and discouraged at the
results. Your product solves this problem a lot cheaper than
Callaham's does. Once again, thank you. Gino,
I am very pleased with the product. I found that I actually prefer the
bridge plate for the American Standard over the old ashtray style - a lot. The
metal is thicker and there isn't as much unwanted feedback - not to mention the
ability to palm mute. I don't know what the big craze is all about with those
old bridge plates, but I'm sure it will end as soon as people realize why Fender
quit using them. As far as your product goes, I had my guitar perfectly
intonated within 15 minutes of installing your saddles. Even an open G
chord is in tune - something that is not easily accomplished on a telecaster
with 3 saddles. The only thing negative that I have to say is that the
longer adj. screws didn't come in the package. I think that a couple of
my saddles are almost out of adjustment room - I doubt I'll need them, but I'd
be very frustrated if I did. Anyhow, I have been spreading the word about
Project Consultants the best I can because I really do like your product.

Tours, France This is absolutely the most significant mod that I did on my tele, and
also
the cheapest one. I've changed both pickups and use fairly heavy strings
(12-52) in order to achieve a good jazztone with the neck PU and some
funk
with the bridge PU. The problem that I had was that my sound was pretty
harsh (even with a neck humbucker and tone rolled half way. What the
623
saddles did is that they smoothed the attacks. Unlike what people say,
I
don't think brass really mellows the sound (mute highs), I think it lets
more bass come through making the sound smoother, that makes even more
possibilities : you can still twang, but you can make the smoothest jazz
(think ed bickert), without any harshness in attacks. This is the first
time
I got what I was expecting (and I'm quite demanding!!!). This is a great
poduct, and I'm very happy it exists. Make sure I will make everyone
know...
I forgot to say in the review that the sustain is now a lot better,
and of
course, I have no problem with intonation.
Despite some postal
delivery problems, Jerome was kind enough to send us his review.
Thanks Jerome.

Kitchener, Ontario Hey Gino, finally got my act together and got this tele finished. I have
included some fairly high resolution pics, but let me know if you want some
more, or better, or whatever. Its no trouble.
After playing my telecaster as well as every other tele in the store through
the same amp, I can honestly say that I prefer mine. It has a TON of sustain
(which may have to do with the extra bridge screws that I added). Really,
really loving it. The intonation is spot on and the guitar absolutely sings.
I was almost expecting it to be a wee bit out (since it is still fixed) but
it was bang on the money.

Hey Gino: I got the Telecaster (american series, maple neck, alder body)
back from the music store, where the repair guy put on a set of Nocaster pickups,
four-way switch, and your brass barrel saddles. The guy who did the work is an
excellent guitar player, and he was particularly impressed with the design of
the saddles you sold me (initially, he was skeptical about putting those on -
said it would make the guitar harder to tune and wouldn't make much difference
in terms of tone), Anyway, he was floored by the improvement; said he compared
it to all the Teles in the store, and it kicked butt. I like it, too. Thanks,
and have a great Christmas.

great look.

Lemme tell you, I aint never going back to the 6 saddles even with the
intonation issue, the notes so big sounding, so natural too, its a shame
I didn't have them before.
I'm pretty exited so far about the saddles. The changes in tone and
feel are definitely noticeable. First thing right off the bat is the
E B string are much more "there" and clear. All around the
strings seem to shimmer more, and at the same time there is a little
bit more depth to what I had before.
The guitar has a more acoustic guitar vibe to it, that's just satisfying
to my ears.
Really looking forward to any other innovations you might have soon.
For me Its really about personalizing it, making it truly unique. when
I first got the LN6 I knew there was something special about it, but
It (for me) needed that extra "mojo" I did my research I found
the products that are about quality and not hype. As of right now im
very happy with my guitar its the only electric guitar I have as of now
other than a few acoustics, a Flattop, a Selmer Gypsy style, and a classical..
Thanks for being part of that tone quest,

The saddles (GT623 series) were very easy to
install and they definitely brightened up the sound of my Tele, what
a great sounding Ax!!! Even at low volume I can hear the difference.
I can't wait to really rev it up tonight!!
FYI....If longer screws are needed, you can take them out of the stock
saddles.
I thought you guys did a great job machining the parts. I've worked
in machine shops most of my life and was impressed with the quality
of your parts. I can't believe fender doesn't offer these...Oh well,
their loss!!!
Thank you again!!

"Thanks for the quick, thoughtfull, honest and technical response. Your
comments seem to align with my experiences very well. Therefore you made a believer
out of me.
I want to tell you that the brass saddles made a huge - huge difference in
the tone over any other steel saddle I've ever tried!!! I tried a bigsby off
and on and decided to "can" the bigsby I paid $150 in favor of the "GT" great
tone. Steel saddles don't cut it, neither do the 6 peice. Pressure on the bridge
is very critical. The Bigsby robs the pressure and us tone freaks will never
be happy. I tried both the compensated and non-compensated. I've ended up with
the compensated. It seems that either can be tweaked in. I may end up with
a combination of the two. I liked the different length screws because you never
know what you'll run in to. Thanks again."

"I put them in last weekend and am very impressed. Very nice quality and
sound tone. I put the compensated ones in and really like them. I had vintage

Like I said, you guys did a very nice job with them!"
